Once again, Keith Olbermann has hit the nail on the head - or perhaps, nailed the Chimp to the wall, yet again.

You can see how passionate Keith is about this, and it's really good to see someone actually FEELING this crap.  Because I think as a nation, are collectively avoiding those feelings, lest they rip us apart.

Watching Olbermann over the last year or so, you can see just how far things have gone... On bad days, I fear this means we really are lost, that the nation as a whole is at risk, as Keith now says with regularity.  On good days, I hope maybe a few sane people can listen to him and hear what he's saying. 

The trick is, is it anywhere near enough?  Is there any way to walk a middle road here, or should we just start planning for the revolution?  I have spent a long time fearing that we could slip over that edge, but taking hope in the idea that "the truth will out"... but how often do we see that these days?

Hrmph.

I have resisted the urge to fill this blog with post after post about how completely crazy the Bush administration is getting,.. but this one takes the cake...

ABC News Report on how the Bush White House won't name the contractor who lost all their email

Even for the non-techies out there, this just defies belief - they've lost track of MILLIONS of email messages, and nobody will even tell the Congress who lost them?

What's really scary is the comments where people either say "why is this a big deal", or worse, "the Clintons did it, why does it matter if it happens to Bush".   I'd have to read up on the Clinton stuff, I do recall something going on there, but it wasn't millions of emails over the coruse of years.

As another commenter said, "Secrecy is used to cover guilt.  Look at how much secrecy this administration is using..."

Even if this turns into the Watergate-level scandal it should be already, things are already so partisan, I can't see how any of this can end well.  And if it stays on the back burners... what other crap will we never hear about?


God help us all - it really is starting to seem like we may not be able to collectively help ourselves...
